The experience also includes a guided exploration of Marrakech and a scenic return via Taroudant and Taliouine, renowned for its saffron.

Day 1: Agadir to Marrakech – Imperial Majesty Awaits

Your desert journey kicks off after breakfast, heading northeast toward the imperial city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, a local guide will take you on a cultural tour through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Saadian Tombs and the elegant Bahia Palace, once home to Grand Vizier Ba Ahmed. You’ll also visit the buzzing Jemaa El-Fna square, stroll through the serene Majorelle and Menara Gardens, and browse the colorful souks filled with spices and handcrafted goods. You’ll spend the night in a charming local riad or hotel.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, the journey continues through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, offering sweeping views of traditional Berber villages. Your first major stop is the famed Ait Ben Haddou—a fortified ksar that once welcomed desert caravans on their route to Marrakech. Then, travel to Ouarzazate to explore the renowned Atlas Film Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. En route to Dades Valley, pass by the palm groves of Skoura and the fragrant rose town of Kalaat M’Gouna. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the heart of the Dades Gorges.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

Today, the tour takes you from the rocky landscapes of Dades to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for their towering red cliffs and a flowing river that attracts climbers from around the world. After exploring this natural wonder, continue through the oasis town of Touroug for lunch, then pass by Erfoud—a town surrounded by date palm groves—before arriving in Merzouga. Spend the evening relaxing in a desert hotel, savoring a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 4: Explore Merzouga & Sahara Camel Trekking

After breakfast, set off on an unforgettable 4×4 desert tour to discover the cultural and natural wonders of Merzouga. Visit nomadic families in their traditional tents, see the remnants of ancient iron mines in Mifis, and immerse yourself in the music of the Gnaoua people in the village of Khamlia. Following lunch, return to your accommodation for a quick rest before hopping on a camel to cross the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at your desert camp in time for sunset, enjoy local music around a fire, and spend the night under a blanket of stars.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake early to witness a stunning sunrise over the Sahara dunes, then head back to your hotel in Merzouga for breakfast and a hot shower. The journey continues with a visit to the traditional market town of Rissani, known for its authentic Moroccan atmosphere and regional crafts. By evening, arrive back in Ouarzazate where you’ll rest in a hotel overlooking the Atlas Mountains.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Taznakht – Taliouine – Taroudant – Return to Agadir

On the final day of your journey, depart Ouarzazate and travel through scenic mountain landscapes. Stop in Taznakht, a town famous for its artisan carpets, before reaching Taliouine, the heart of Morocco’s saffron production. After a leisurely lunch, continue to the charming town of Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech” due to its ochre-colored ramparts and vibrant souks. From here, drive back to Agadir, where your unforgettable 6-day adventure concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.
