On the first day of the 4-day tour from Fes, we will meet you at your place of stay or the airport. We will drive towards Todra Gorges, crossing the city of Ifran nominated to be Moroccan Switzerland because of its beautiful architecture and surrounding cedar forest. Not far from Ifran, we will meet Azrou town which is known as the rock city in the Amazigh language; this appears within the volcanic rocks along the city. Here you will stop in the cedar forest to enjoy the fresh air and feed the monkeys living in that forest. The next stop will be Zaida, a small village on the route, for lunch. Before that, you will be amazed by the mountains of the Middle Atlas all along the way. After having lunch, the voyage will continue crossing the city of Midelt, known for its apple production and the old plum mines. The trip will continue via a small town called Rich, still the meeting point of the tribes of the region on Sunday and Monday markets. The road will take us to visit the famous village of Imilchil, the capital of the Ait Hdidou tribe, known for its festival where people come from the regions to get married, not far from there is the Isli Lake. In the evening, we will arrive at the gorges of Todra series of limestone river canyons where we will spend the night.
Día 2: Todra Gorges - Jorf - Erfoud - Merzouga (Paseo en camello y noche en el desierto):
The next morning, you will have your breakfast and start your travel to Merzouga. Along the way, you will see beautiful Amazigh villages. We will pass through the towns of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. Here, you can feel that we are entering the Moroccan desert of the Tafilalt Oasis. Arriving at Merzouga, known as the town of the golden sand and drinking a cup of tea in the hotel, the local guide will take you on a camel ride to the Erg Chebbi the place where the camp is. The guide will later invite you to sandboarding and admire the sunset through the dunes. Dinner will be served under an Amazigh tent (takhamt) with a campfire and traditional Berber Music. You will spend the night in the tent. Tomorrow we continue our 4-day tour from Fes.
Day 3: Merzouga – Berber Families – Black Desert – Merzouga (4 DAYS TOUR FROM FES):
The morning in the desert will start very early to allow you to see the sunrise and the changing of color of the golden dunes with time. After that, you will ride camels back to Merzouga at the hotel where you can get a fresh shower and a tasty breakfast before going on a visit to the villages surrounding Erg Chebbi dunes, such as Hassi Labied, Merdani, Khamlia, and M’fis. We will meet locals on the way to Khamlia who will show you their desert fuses. On the sand, you will probably encounter desert reptiles and mammals. Arriving in Khamilia, known as the Gnawi village, black people coming from southern countries of Africa as slaves in the past were integrated into the Moroccan society. The people there will welcome you very hospitably with a cup of tea made in the desert manner (Amazigh whiskey) and listening to their lovely spiritual Gnawi music. Leaving Khamilia, we will go toward the Algerian borders to have a panoramic view of the golden dunes before having a picnic lunch under the shadow of a tree. The ride will continue visiting nomads of the region living under an Amazigh tent and taking care of their herds. On the way back to Merzouga to have dinner and sleep the night at the hotel, you will come across the volcanic rocks and the Yasmina Lake, where you will be surprised by the natural postcard of the dunes surrounding the lake (in spring).

“Once-in-a-lifetime journey through the Sahara!”
This 4-day tour from Fes to Merzouga was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. From the moment Khalid picked us up, everything felt smooth and perfectly organized. The drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the cedar forests was stunning, and our stops in Ifrane and the Ziz Valley added so much charm. But nothing beats the camel ride into the dunes at sunset; it was pure magic. The desert camp was far more luxurious than I expected, with comfortable beds, private showers, and incredible food under the stars. Thank you, Prime Morocco Tours, for an unforgettable adventure!
“Incredible desert tour with local insight”
I cannot recommend Prime Morocco Tours enough! The 4-day tour from Fes to Merzouga was everything I hoped for and more. Khalid is not just a guide; he’s a true ambassador of Moroccan culture. He shared fascinating stories, took care of all our needs, and made the trip fun and stress-free. Every stop, from the cedar forest monkeys to the Todra Gorges, was well-timed and interesting. Riding a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes and watching the sunrise over the desert was surreal. This trip exceeded my expectations in every way.
“Perfect honeymoon adventure!”
We booked this 4-day desert tour as part of our honeymoon, and we’re so happy we did. Prime Morocco Tours truly went above and beyond. Our driver-guide, Khalid, was warm, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our comfort. The landscapes were jaw-dropping, especially the contrast between the mountains, valleys, and the orange sand dunes of Merzouga. The desert camp felt private and romantic, and the food was delicious. We also appreciated the stop in a Berber village; it felt authentic, not touristy. A massive thank you to Khalid for making this so special!
“Morocco’s soul in 4 unforgettable days”
This tour was the highlight of my Moroccan trip. From Fes to Merzouga, every kilometer revealed something new: snow-capped peaks, ancient kasbahs, lush oases, and golden dunes. The camel ride was fun (and surprisingly comfortable), and the night in the desert was peaceful and deeply spiritual. I loved the music around the fire and the stories Khalid shared with us. It didn’t feel like a standard tour; it felt like traveling with a local friend. I’ll definitely travel with Prime Morocco Tours again.
“Best decision we made on our Morocco trip!”
I was hesitant about booking a multi-day tour, but I’m so glad we went with Prime Morocco Tours. Khalid made everything seamless, from the hotel pickup in Fes to the drop-off at our riad in Marrakech. He drove safely, answered all our questions, and even made spontaneous stops for photos when we saw something beautiful. The camel ride and night in the Merzouga camp were magical, complete with mint tea, drums, and stars. Every detail was well thought out. Highly recommended!
“Professional, authentic, and unforgettable”
My wife and I had an amazing experience on this 4-day journey. The itinerary was well-balanced, with plenty of time to explore and relax. Khalid ensured we felt safe and welcome at all times. We visited so many incredible places, Rissani market, fossil workshops, and palm groves, and each one gave us a better understanding of Moroccan life. The highlight, of course, was the Sahara. Riding camels at dusk, sleeping in the dunes, and waking up to the sunrise, it was dreamlike. I recommend Prime Morocco Tours to anyone visiting Morocco.
